UTSA Cell Analysis Core

Overview of Services

The mission of the Cell Analysis Core is to provide centralized services, training, access, and support to researchers in using flow cytometry and confocal microscopy equipment and related services including technical training opportunities. To establish an active training and consultation program to support the use of cytomics to impact research productivity and the competitiveness of students and fellows trained on our campus. The core partners with the Research Computing Support Group to create a data acquisition and analysis pipeline that ensures a streamlined and seamless research workflow. To ensure that the full potential of core technology is realized, the Cell Analysis Core provides personal training in the use of all instrumentation, as well as the latest data analysis methods.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Core Policies

User Responsibilities:

• Sign instrument log books (user name, PI name, hours of use)
• Properly shut down and clean the instrument if the core manager is not present to do so
• Remove all waste and leave the room in its original condition
• Immediately report any problems

• Laser Safety Report (for Zeiss 710)
• Biosafety Report
• Bloodborne Pathogens Report
