New User Access

New Primary Investigators (PI)

If you are a new PI to UTSA and do not have an iLab account, please refer to the information below.

  • Internal PI Group/Lab – A Group/Lab account is auto-generated for all internal PIs with a valid Project ID (speedtype) for sponsored projects. First-time users can simply login/registration using their myUTSA ID (abc123) credentials. Contact iLab@utsa.edu if your fund information is missing or not available in our system.

  • External PI Group/Lab (UT System/In-Network, Higher-Ed/Non-Profit, Commercial/Industry) – Please review and sign the UTSA Service Agreement in order to create or affiliate an external iLab account with UTSA. Each Institution/Company must sign this agreement before work can be performed by/for the requesting PI. Any modifications or amendments to this agreement is a "request for contract" and will enter a negotiation workflow with our Business Contracts Office. Please submit all signed agreements or request for contract to ORIS@utsa.edu.

 Non-PI Users

UTSA Customers:

    1. Select login/register button to top right of the screen and login using your myUTSA ID (abc123) credentials.
