The Genomics Core Facility prepares and sequences DNA libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) application, including whole genomes, transcriptomes, epigenomes, and more. Our core staff has particular expertise in prepares bacterial genome assembly and mammalian single-cell genomics (extracting nucleic acids from single cells for genomic analysis). The core also offers a limited selection of instruments to qualified reserachers for unassisted use.

Principal Investigators (PIs)
1) Select "sign-up" or "login" button at the top-right of this screen and register using your myUTSA ID (abc123) credentials.
2) If you are a PI with a valid Project ID assigned to you in PeopleSoft, your Group/Lab account will automatically be created with access to those avaialable funding accounts upon first-time login. Fund information is automatically imported nightly. Please contact iLab@utsa.edu if your funding information is not available in our system.
Non-PI Users
1) Select "sign-up" or "login" button at the top-right of this screen and register using your myUTSA ID (abc123) credentials.
2) Fill out the iLab registration page, select your PI Group/Lab, and verify your contact information.
3) Once your registration is submitted, the PI and/or Lab Manager will receive a notification that you have requested a membership to the Group/Lab. They will need to 1) approve your membership and 2) assign funds to your account (Speedtypes=Project ID or Cost Center) before you can submit a request and use core facility resources.
Non-UTSA Users
1) Complete the External User Access Request Form (here).
2) UTSA Staff will validate/coordinate if your institution has an active Research Service Agreement with UTSA. **This agreement must be signed by both institutions before any work can be performed.
3) Complete the iLab registration wizard for "Non-UTSA Users".
Registration for Non-UTSA Customers
1) Select "sign-up" button at the top-right of the screen (or here)
2) Receive a welcome email from iLab (typically within one business day) with login credentials.
3) Use login credentials provided to finish account creation.
4) If/once an active Service Agreement is signed, your user account will be granted access to UTSA's iLab System.
